Air Sahara info
We booked a flight with air Sahara through TUI website in Italy. They sent us the paper tickets. Today they informed us on a change in the schedule (they change the flight more than the schedules...) sayig that this was air company decision. They also told us that we do not need new tickets since this is a change communicated by the company. Is that possible?
Do you have a Air Sahara phone number where I can call to check? |

I guess if the flight is delayed for an hour or so, the same paper tickets would do.

No it is not an hour but the flight completely changed.
Basically it was a direct flight to Male via Colombo and return. Now there is a new route announced and from starting March 10. The return flight they have communicated to me is Male-Trivandrum Trivandrum-Delhi. I received confirmation from the Italian Air Sahara representative that the ticket I have is valid and also of the reservation. My question is now, but it seems that none can answer, since on Sahara website my original flight seems not to exist anymore (both one way and return) and only the new one appears, why they have not communicated to me also the change in the Delhi-Trivandrum-Male...there is still time (we will leave on August) but I do not want to risk that even having booked 6 months in advance I do not have a place on the flight. Do I have to trust them or try to contact the call centre in India? ![]() |

I just tried opening air sahara website but as ususal it is not working.
You can get the call centre number form there Has the date of the flight changed as well ?? If yes then the paper tickets may not hold good. The reason being that you need to show the tickets at airport entrace & they might not allow you in if therz a date mismatch. |

There call center number as listed on the website Call Center: 1800 22 3020/3030 2020
The site still seems to be down but I used google cache to get the number. I hope it works and things get sorted out for you. |

I am not a fan of Air Sahara as they pull off tricks like you are experiencing. Last month I was in India. My BA flight was delayed, I re-booked on Air Sahara for a later flight (domestic leg) but when I got to the counter they made me buy a whole new ticket.
I would cancel with Air Sahara (their websites and even phone numbers don't work) and re-book (if possible) with better airlines.

The change is within the same day, so Ishould not have problem to get into the airport.
Ok, my last chance seems to be the call centre in India, do thy menage the reservation or just confirming the current one? To be honest we read some comments on some website and we thought they were evaluated as Alitalia, therefore I thought they were not too bad,and there is still plenty of time to sort it out (maybe I will get completely insane by that time ) and the price was by far the most cheap of all the other companies flying to Maldives. At the moment I do not consider to cancel (I do not know if tickets are refundable). I was not worried about delays because the original flight I booked was direct to Male (and in the last 20 days when I checked always on time or in advance except one day with two hours delay)but now there is one hour and 20 minutes between the flight from Delhi and the one to Male (in case they change my reservation, the same for the return flight). I am concerned to be honest also for luggage and in fact I am thinking to fly with hand luggage only (at maldives I do not need many things...). In Press news Air Sahara declare:" Effective 10th March a daily Trivandrum- Male (Maldives) -Trivandrum flight will begin operation. Air Sahara will also offer a connection from Delhi and Cochin to Male and passengers traveling from these two cities to Male can avail of very convenient timings. " Therefore I would assume that they would wait for the flight from Delhi and cochin... |

Most likely they will wait. Did you try the call center? I took an internal flight with them from delhi to Bangalore and back and it was OK. Only their check-in was chaotic. But I have no international flying experience with them.

In your shoes, I'd simply call the call center. If your travel allows you some time in India before the AS flight, I could also leave it to when I am in India. In any case, I'd allow a bit extra time before flight to sort it out.
I do not know where the advice to cancel came from. Anyone can have a bad day or two at virtually every airline. And, airlines change times of flights fairly often - and routing changes are not unheard of as even the established airlines do cancel flights. So, my advice is to stay cool (and trust the advice you got from your booking agency), make an attempt to confirm the reservation of the new routing. You might have to visit an AS desk/booking office (or your checking counter) for changes to the paper ticket. |

I think there is no need to panic if your final destination is Male.
Though I am not a great fan of Air Sahara, I think they are in 'legal rights' in doing what they have done here. The condition of carriage of all airlines clearly specifies that they can change / cancel any schedule or any route at their discretion. S2 is no exception. Are you intending to stop in Colombo? If not, then they should get you to Male from Delhi, and seems they are doing it. If you wanted a stop-over at Colombo, they still can do it (Delhi-Chennai-Colombo-Chennai and then to Male). Call up their call center and ask for an email confirmation of your new routings. Everything will be fine. |

You might try your luvk here.
http://www.airsahara.net/s2v1/Feedba...back.aspx?id=0 And you are right about the contact numbers being only for India. |
