Hi Everyone,
I am trying to make reservations on Air Sahara for 27 March07 DEL/Guwahati and Dibrugarh/DEL on 07 April07.. My questions are... Can I use the airsahara.net website to make the reservations even though I am the United States? I notice they do not offer USD fares and all rates are in INR. Will AirSahara send me an email confirmation reflecting my bookings? The reason I ask is that there is mention of issuing a physical ticket and I don't see them sending me a ticket here in the US What a gr8 website.. Thank you in advance for your help.. |

Air Sahara
Hi, its better you don't book it on the site. Why don't you try calling up their helpline ? Maybe they could post the tickets to you or something or better still issue you a confirmation number after booking. You could pick up the ticket from the DEL airport.
Sahara Toll Free-1-800-22-30-20.

I believe that Air Sahara specifically states that buying tickets online is for Indian Residents only. The ticket I bought required me to pick it up at any airport in India (which you can do at the ticket booth outside the airport right before your flight). I don't think they even asked for ID, so you may get away with it if you're not an Indian Resident (but do so at your own risk).
As a side note, use only Internet Explorer. Most websites in India work poorly with anything else (including Sahara). I ended up double booking a reservation, and getting a refund was next to impossible with the "customer service" at Sahara. I ended up just doing a chargeback on my credit card, and I don't think Sahara even noticed! |
