| Air India Direct Flights Form Los Angeles Air India, starting June 11, will have direct service from Los Angeles to Mumbai via Frankfurt. The flight just stops in Frankfurt, no plane change. In October, two more Los Angeles - Mumbai flights will be added. Boeing 747-400 planes. Yipee!!!!  |

| Isn't that the longer way around the world? I thought that flights from the West Coast flew west, and from the East Coast - east...

| In past trips, I have gone both east and west. Since India is on the opposite side of the world from California, its about the same flying times either way. |
