Air Deccan

Does anyone have any experience of Air Deccan? they seem to have some very reasonable fares.

Hi 2 Aussies are headed for India at the end of Nov. for 4 weeks and because we have left one day to get to Bombay (Mumbai....friggin name changes) from Goa instead of training it we have decided to fly because we cannot afford to miss our 3am morning flight out to Frankfurt.

I booked with Air Deccan on advice from family relos, el cheapo YEP BUT then I was told by my relos that they are UNRELIABLE and then I started asking round and yep they are cheap but if you can afford to wait around then its fine. So within 48hrs of booking over the net I cancelled and only lost 15 bucks.

Our main concern was cancellation of a flight and the other 3 airlines (Jet, Sahara, Indian) DO NOT want a bar of this littlie airline because they are undercutting their prices so they wont take you if Deccan has cancelled their flight HOWEVER if Jet, Sahara or Indian airlines cancel they use one another to try and shoulder the burden of the cancelled flight....i.e tickets are valid on one anothers flights.

So in conclusion.....if you can afford to wait around and arent on a tight schedule..GO FOR IT

they have the best prices but imho service by groundstaff and attitude just sucks... actually waitin at the air port after 2 hrs of waiting they tell u dat the flight mite be cancelled...no proper customer care and service...
