well... I got a 1 rupee ticket once.... got up at 5 in the morning ... full speed to office .... and booked it as soon as the bookings were open

with taxes it came to around 750 (it was more than a year ago)...
still much cheaper than jets and saharas.

Just kidding, my last flight probably turned out worse. Yes only 25 Euros!!! etc. etc. As Harvey Keitel sighed, They sure know how to take us for a ride don't they (or words to that effect).

Last month i got tickets for Rs. 6 + Rs 1000 in taxes & surcharge (Approx) from Mumbai to Chennai & from mumbai to bangalore for travelling in the month of Jan & Feb.

So the low fares scheme does exist but only if you book on the same day or may be next day when the bookings open.

Last week I got an air deccan ticket bangalore hyderabad for february for Rs 9 + Rs1000 taxes. I noticed Rs 900 was Fuel surcharge.. that was a killer

Air Deccan is not the great deal it used to be.Those surcharges have gotten ridiculous.

I've been warned by other IndiaMikers that Air Deccan can cancel their flights at anytime, leaving you with no choice but to purchase a new ticket on their rescheduled flight. Has anyone had experience with this? I'm wondering if I should even bother with Air Deccan at all...

I have never had any problems with air deccan. Their flights are late sometimes but so is everybody else these days. I never heard of any cancellations of air deccan, at least not in bangalore-delhi sector.

i booked flights with air deccan from bangalore to bellary (to go to hampi) as they were the only airline that flew this route. they text me the day before to tell me the flight was cancelled, found out a few days later that the return flight was as well. ended up spending 10 hours in the car driving to hampi...and 8 hours back to bangalore. was not happy...still waiting for my refund too

Yes- same with me also on PUNE-DELHI flight.
phantom ! Banglore - Delhi seems to be profitable sector...so this could be reason that they operate with smile but in mycase they did not inform well in time and with a infant and wife...i went through tough time when came to know spending good time in airport lounge.

Spend double the amount and booked with JET.

I think airdeccan is costly gamble !
