Air Deccan booking problems

I was trying to book & buy a ticket from Airdeccan.net and had some problems. First i tried to buy it through Firefox browser and I clicked "Buy" on the Credit card page twice and nothing happened (very stressing)..

Then I moved to Internet explorer browser and typed my CC number and it was denied...

Then I used a different CC. it processed it and just moved to the front page without giving me PNR or any email or anything!
and the search reference number doesnt work!

Im afraid Im billed without a ticket!
Does anybody experienced this or know what to do?!

See the thread "Paying for an Indian air ticket with non-Indian credit card?":

Paying for an Indian air ticket with non-Indian credit card?

Apparently Indian travel portals and seb sites are declining foreign cards for online purchase. There is another thread called simply "Air Deccan" addressing the same issue.

So what are the best ways (cheap ways) for a non-indian to fly to the Andaman Islands, if booking in advance from abroad?

Or maybe is there another way to book from abroad to Air Deccan?

The Air Deccan website does not work with Firefox

I have found the site unreliable at best even using an ICICI debit card.

I booked some tickets a couple of weeks ago, was directed to ICICI gateway for payment, went through security stuff, clicked on "pay" - waited and then ......nothing. Checked with ICICI bank and I had been debited for the tickets, but I had bo booking ref. I then called Air Deccan from UK to be told there was a problem with their system - (my a/c would be refunded with the initial payment - did i have a credit card rather than debit? did I have a friend in India with a credit card? etc), and he finally suggested I try again in a couple of hours. I booked successfully the following day, and got a refund after 7 days. They told me foreign cards are not accepted by their system.

All in all, I agree it's a very stressful business and not for the faint-hearted, even with an Indian card.

Indian (debit card).

As I said, the Air Deccan guy told me their system does not accept foreign cards. I've used UK cards for Spicejet and Goair without problem - I feel more comfortable using them (Cards) if anything goes wrong.

Well you can do that, the bottleneck is how are you going to pay with a foreign credit card? The best my friend has found are places that will accept it if you fill out and fax a detailed form with your credit card #, security code, passenger details, total charge, etc., as well as fax the front and back of the card itslef.

Does seem like bullock-cart approach to business in the jet age.

I have to say that in the layer of India we are dealing with here, the basic instinct is bureaucratic; everything else follows form that.
