Thank you, Rahul! I take that flight on December 28. I love that we arrive at 5:45...much preferable to 1am

I'm due to fly on the new A/C flight in mid-December ~ I'm really looking forward to the improvement over a 2 a.m. arrival.
I did come across this newsstory though, which is apparently resulting in an extra hour of airtime each way (even though Air Canada hasn't updated their site with the new arrival time). It'll still be amazing to land in Delhi at a reasonable hour, but it may be a touch later than expected. Air Canada vs. Russia |

We are looking forward to the 6pm landing as well.
Innnnnnteresting about the airspace. I got a call saying that our outgoing flight left earlier, but only by about 10-15 minutes. |

Hey Rahul and Shannon! How did your flights go? We are doing the same one in Dec-Jan. Would love to know how it went! Anyone else out there done this flight?

My outgoing flight in December and return in January went wonderfully. There aren't tele-screens on the seat-backs, but the flight is fast! It's a fantastic time to arrive in Delhi - customs is a breeze. I also found the recovery period improved; I went out for dinner, then called it an early night and woke up quite refreshed the next morning. I hope the flight continues to run - I'd pay a bit extra for it over a trans-Europe option any day. |
