| Ahmedabad to Cochin Ok, so it seems as far as we can uncover, there is no direct flight to Cochin from AMD. The best deal I can find is some version of connecting flights through Mumbai but there are long waits and its coming out to like $300 per person or more all included and there are 4 of us. Is there any other more logical/economical way of doing this? Fly to Goa and take a train or car to Cochin to meet the others? We are meeting relatives from Bangalore. Would it be better to fly there and take an overnight train? I am surprised I cannot find some better way to get there and I imagine a train would take a day and a half or more so that is too much. Any ideas out there? Never mind, should remove this post, I thought the flight prices were per person but they were for all 4 of us! Ha ha. There you go, we will get there somehow. Why is Cochin some places and Kochi this way others? Its all over the place. Last edited by fajitanumerouno; Nov 6th, 2007 at 07:52.. |

| Not really, I'm no expert in the flying field. There's a "links" link in my signature which includes some sites on flying. A quick glance would suggest there are some options (may not be direct, and remember you may need to look for "Kochi," not Cochin. Most of those sites offer an option to look up the airport code, which is what you really need.) Training it would be long yes, the site I prefer to check on this is currently down.

![]() Let's leave it here, may be helpful to others. Cochin was renamed Kochi somewhere in the decolonization process (not all that long ago), you'll find this a lot in India and other former colonies, at least in this case the names bear some resemblance, sometimes they don't, at all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._public_places | |

| For other members http://www.ixigo.com/search/result/f...6112007//1/0/0 If that doesnt work, go to the homepage and search. Seems to be 5000/6000 rupees one way, with a stopover. Of course, my dates are arbitrary.
