Urgent : Temporary dog house needed
Hi all,
A friend of mine adopted a stray male dog some five years ago. Now the friend has been transferred to the Gulf for one year but will come back to India afterwards as he married an Indian girl and they just bought a plot of land in Goa where they will be building a house. He can not take the dog to the Gulf so is looking for temporary accommodation in either Delhi or Goa. The idea is that as soon as the house in Goa is finished the dog can live there but this expected to take about 10 months. He tries to avoid putting the dog in a kennel as it is used to be out and about and the period would be too long anyway. He will of course pay for all the cost involved in keeping a dog. The dog is vacinated and sterilised. I would have taken him but I have already three male dogs in my pack and another older male is very likely to be a problem. So, is there anybody who has any suggestions for temporary dog housing in Delhi or Goa. Thanks a lot! |

Yup, but they are Muslim, not too keen on dogs and that is putting it mildly apparently. Not sure whether this is a religious thing or just a personal thing.

Your vet (or other vets in your area) would a good person to ask.
Does it need to be Delhi or Goa? I know a dog lover in Bombay.

If they are Muslims, they THINK that it is haraam (prohibited) but it is not. There are a lot of stories that go around Muslim families about dogs and how bad they are - particularly the saliva. My favourite response to this is to tell Muslims the story about the man who gave a thirsty dog water from his shoe. The man went to heaven. Almost all Muslims know this story as it is a hadith (saying of the Prophet Mohamed PBUH).
I refer anyone interested to: http://discover.islamonline.net/serv...am%2FDIELayout And before anyone says anything - I, too, am a Muslim. Not a great one, but a Muslim no less. So bite your bum. |
