Just now I received a mail about three dogs which are in need of new homes in Delhi. All three are local adult dogs, fully vaccinated and sterilised. There are 2 males, Burfi and Khajela and 1 female called Bela.

Both males have gone through pretty bad patches in their lives but are still very affectionate and friendly, especially with kids.

Bela can open a gate on her own, knocks at the door when she wants to enter and is very friendly to the owners of her house but makes sure nobody will enter uninvited. As soon as the owners give permission she is her sweet self again, so a perfect guard dog.

This pup was rescued from an unscrupulous breeder who was trying to sell him illegally in the Karol Bagh area in Delhi. Since there are no papers for him he is being listed as a Lab-mix although he is probably all Lab, but we can't be sure. Whoever adopts him must be sure that this baby's ancestry is irrelevant!

Hey...I would love to adopt the puppy - just what I need at the moment! Am suffering from the syndrome 'Empty Nest' since my kids have all grown up and moved away. Desperately looking for a dog. Thanks. Will call Uttara tomorrow - first thing in the morning!

That is a shame! But there are many more puppies that need homes.

At the moment there are SEVEN available in Mumbai that are all urgently looking for new homes.

All seven are very healthy, cute and extremely adorable. 3 of them are multi-coloured, 2 black, 1 white and 1 blond (a labrador look-a-like).

The need for homes is very urgent because although these pups are fostered, they are still on the street and have started to move around which increases the chances of being run over by passing vehicles.

Their foster family is willing to support them for a year with food, medical expenses, etc. as long as the people are willing to care for the pups and will love them unconditionally.

Thanks Birds... I had arranged for a friend to pick up the pup from Delhi as he was driving down to Gujarat, where I am currently based. Bombay will be difficult as I do not know anyone travelling from there. But let me know if you have some info on Pups for adoption in Gujarat. Will be happy to have one!

A lovely 1 month old, mixed breed male puppy has lost its mum and is in desperate need of a home.

He is light brown, extremely cute and certified perfectly healthy by the vet & dewormed.

He is with a foster worker now but can not stay there for very much longer.

Hi Pintz,

I think we found you a dog! Or rather NINE were found. All are in Gujarat, in Ahmedabad, so it may be easier for you to pick one up.

IM member Gweilo was contacted about 9 tiny puppies abandoned in the dump a week ago.

The mother has not showed up so may be killed or someone dumped the puppies into the dumpster deliberately.

Right now they live outside on the road, have very little food or protection from cars and other dogs.

They need homes quickly! Please help to find homes for them.
