Go to www.erail.in and search for trains from Madgaon (Central Goa) to Ernakulam (Cochin), there are a few trains, but not many call at Cancona (south Goa) or any of the north Goa train stations.

You'll have to get a bus from Cochin to Munnar.

You'll see lots of Dogs by the trains and at the train stations, even a few Cats, but you're unlikely to see any Langurs.
