One of the very active animal welfare organisations in Mumbai has set up their website www.pawsasia.org.

Its worth keeping their number as they are one of the few (only?) organisations in Mumbai that will send out ambulances to all over the city and its outskirts without saying that it is 'not their area'. Their attitude is to try solve the problem instead of pushing it way. Great organisation!

Just on the off chance somebody knows some vets, International Animal Rescue in Goa is in desperate need for three more full-time vets. The sooner the better because the dog/cat sterilisation programme is getting behind as there are not sufficient vets to operate. Waiting time is now 3 weeks!

To highlight the need to control the stray population, we found out a guy is poisoning dogs in my area. Already 3 died and a fourth one is very ill.
