| Umm, a general location of which part of Delhi you are in might help others answer better. For eg, I know a place not far from Vasant Kunj... street dogs, though. The best type.

| You may want to take this in consideration! You may want to consider this... Pugs are often overbred, all over the world but especially in India after the Hutch advertisements. Breeders try to achieve the shortest/flattest faces which actually does not allow the animal to breath normally. Throughout their lives they never get sufficient oxygen and the result is that they rarely get old, many don't even make it to 5 years and that while they can get 14! The hot Indian climate is not very suitable to pugs either as it impeds their breathing even more and Delhi with its pollution must be one of the worst environments one can imagine for a pug. Pugs are also very prone to eye infections as well as allergies which are easily picked up during most of the year in Delhi. Very hot (Delhi summers can hit 50 degrees) as well as very cold (Delhi winters are around freezing point) temperatures often causes pugs lots of distress including joint problems. The high level of humidity during the monsoon tends to result in fungus between their skin folds. Furthermore, due to their limit ability to breath, it is risky to medicate and anesthetize them. So should something happen or if they get ill it is difficult to treat them. Now if you still want a pug I would suggest you contact Friendicoes (www.friendicoes.org) and see if they have any because they often get abandoned.
