Sad. You did you best and could do no more.

I am surprised that it dies after surviving so long, but perhaps there was some internal injury.

How sad! You have a kind heart that you took the trouble and tried so much to save it. I am glad there are people like you. Well done!

Thanks for that information. It will come in useful if I come across another animal in need of help.

.

Oh well, I am not surprised it died.

It appears like a juvenile which is ready to fledge. Most juveniles are frisky, restless and adventurous and males even bolder. It appears this bird fell out of its nest and has an internal injury – from the fall – which killed the bird, in spite of its fighting spirit to live.

When juveniles attempt any maneuvers – when parents are not looking – some fall down. It is also possible that his big brother might have kicked him out of the nest in a fight for food. It happens all the time in nature. Parents usually don't bring food to anyone who is on the ground and not in the nest, because it is dangerous to them (parents) too.

Raghu

Your kindness and desire to help creatures in need are indeed commendable. You did your best under the circumstances.

RIP birdie.
