Couldn't he simply have put the ferret down his trousers?

Or is that just a Brit thing?

I don't know if it's true or not.
Just in case you are still with us, yes, it's true that California does not allow the importation of ferrets and it's not allowed to keep them for pets.

Nomad... it was about the poor ferret in your link.

But perhaps I should be worried that you seem to be having a ferret day!

Brishti: yes, it seemed funny to me at the time.

And now I can't for the life me think what I meant!!! Something to do with Norwegian Blue parrots, maybe?

Perhaps I was suffering from India Syndrome that day. Or perhaps I am now. Or perhaps.....

Perhaps what?

Just, Perhaps!

If it's a Norwegian Blue ferret, he's definitely going to be pining for the fjords ...

Brilliant Mach! Now I remember

You're right. I expect he was away in Switzerland trolling for finest-quality ferret food. Nothing like the Swiss stuff for the dedicated ferret owner.

Toblerone & gruyère all the way, sure. Nothing but the best!

(How peculiar btw: That other query of OP on another site got no replies at all. Some forums are just so rude... )
