Are dog's commom pets in Bangalore? We would like to bring our two dogs with us to India but we're not sure what kind of issues there would be. Are there good vets? Is dog food easy to find? Is walking a dog on the street easy??
Thanks. Mike |

Lots of dogs, strays mostly. Take neck collars with studs. Might save your dog's life..

Hey....How well do you fare on a 26 hour plane ride?
In recent years, I have seen many more pet dogs all over India....just the same, I wouldn't subject mine to a trip in a box for so many hours!
If I were going for an extended stay in one place, in my own family's home, and my dog was fit and young, I might consider it. I am a total dog nut....and I love to take him on all of my local trips...I just think it would be too hard on him to take him so far away. When I go to India, he stays at my home with a live-in friend. |

Thanks for the info, seems like if you are a dog lover and willing to deal the grief that you might get then it could work. Glad to see that a number of people have good vets.

There is still too much problem in travelling with pets and its not very common here, might be in west. Although you may find good vets but you will have to find them first..
