Did you need an original of the rabies certificate when you got into the country?

Just a quick question, I have managed to misplace the rabies certificate for our dogs, if I cant get a replacement copy in time I will only have a scan of the original.

Has anyone had to produce the original of the rabies certificate... or did you just produce the NOC and away you went...

Interested to hear what you needed to produce when used received the animals.. oh ours are travelling as excess baggage.

You would need the original Rabies Certificate - sometimes the customs might ask for it. It is also required to obtain the Provisional Quarantine Certificate in India.

Try to get another one made ASAP.

You would need the oroginal Rabies Certificate to produce at the airport in India. Thereafter you require it to obtain the Provisional Quarantine Certificate.

When getting your animals released at the airport you need the NOC and all the other original documents like Health Certificate, Vaccinnation records, etc. If you are lucky they might not even ask you for the originals - but you never know. Why take the risk when it comes to your pet!
