Another abuse case - Mumbai dog lovers wanted

This was forwarded to me by a friend:

Dear All,

I'm going completely out on a limb here, but I need all the help I can get.

For those of you who don't know . . . couple of days back I got a call from some friends about an abused and abandoned puppy - Tiara.

Long story short, the owners (the wife, in particular) were beating this four month old thing till three in the morning. That's how the neighbours heard the yelping. I went to try and reason with them, to say that just keep her for a few days, nicely, and I will try and find a home for her. But they had conveniently vamoosed - they went out of town, leaving her chained to an old bike in the building compound.

The chain was wound round the bike so much so that she couldn't move even a step. And they told the society watchman if nobody took her, to leave her in the street. When I approached her, she snapped at me. But after I removed the chain and sat down for ten minutes, she came up to me and started jumping,licking...the whole 'puppy - nine yards.'

She's been with me for two days now, and there's been a tenfold
improvement in her behaviour already. She's playful and adorable. But all in all, harmony reigns.

She has been vaccinated, is four to five months old. SPCA and the
Welfare of Stray Dogs have been informed and they're doing the best they can. Oh and, from the time I've spent with her, she goes completely cuckoo on tummy rubs. Don't think she got much of that previously.

I haven't slept in two days. Was working away to meet a deadline. Am nearing the end of my patience and sanity. Between taking care of her, making Bozo know he's still 'my boy' and work, haven't been able to do much else.

Not asking too much, just a plea to spread the word around and pass on my email / phone number to anybody who might be keen to adopt her. I'd genuinely appreciate it and owe you big! It's extremely overwhelming to see this adorable little creature and imagine what she's gone through. Believe me, all she needs is kindness and love. And very soon, she'll be the all loving creature that animals usually are.

That's it. Thank you.
~ K

If anybody wants to adopt Tiara let me know.

Just a bump in case Tiara's been forgotten?
