YMCA or YWCA Blue Triangle. Which is better?

Folks:

I will be arriving in Delhi midday the first week in July, and need a place to crash over night. I stayed at the YMCA in 1989, and remember it a basic but reasonable. I've also heard good things about the Blue Triangle. I am a single man, and am looking for a single AC room with western toilet, and an easy transfer from the airport and back to the Radisson Hotel at 5am the next morning.

Does anyone have experience with either (or both!) of these places?

If so, which is the better pick?

Hi Hazard, I stayed at the YWCA Blue Triangle family hostel in October 2006. It's away from the hustle and bustle and yet not too far away from it - you can walk to Connaught Place from there. It was basic and clean and not too expensive. I had a single room with attached bathroom, and I think it was about 900 rupees. They also have a restaurant downstairs. It's a two or three storey building. My window overlooked the Sikh temple next door, which sometimes was a bit noisy, because I was there during Diwali and there was a lot going on. I was very satisfied with the place. There is also a nice big lawn on the property and security as well. And if you're into it, an Ayuverdic massage place at the back - which I took full advantage of as I was so weary from the train ride. I can't compare with the other hostel though.

I've been in them all- the YWCA has been under construction and is basic but okay.
The YMCA is considerably nicer than the others, at least it was last summer.
Good luck, and after you stay there, if you get a chance update the hotel section on IM with your feedback.
