Where to store luggage in Delhi for two weeks?
Hello!
I've browsed the net and this (great!) forum for the possiblities I have to story my luggage for two weeks in Delhi. My problem is that I first go on a business trip to Pune for one week. Adjecent to this trip I will fly to Delhi where my wife and I will meet and start our 2-week holiday. I'm not planning to carry my laptop, suits and documents while I'm travelling across the country, so a secured location to store my luggage would be very helpful! And the airport left luggage option (as suggested in another thread) I believe is not suitable for two weeks. Please let me know - Constantijn |

I don't know about higher-up places, but at the budget end many many hotels and guesthouses offer a left luggage service. You're normally not required to have been a guest there to use it I think.
If you don't take up Rajdeep's offer, just enquire on the ground about some reputable or popular place, or I assume guidebooks may offer some tips to go by, or your hotel will probably be happy to advise. Paharganj would be an obvious area for this, but I assume Connaught Place area is no different. Make sure all your packs can be locked (often required anyway, presumably to stop you from claiming anything was stolen from it later). Backpacks can be fixed up with a light chain and padlock, or you can probably lock their compartments. You may work something out with itemized receipts. It's usually a pretty cheap deal, you'll be charged per piece and possibly size of luggage, per day of course. You may not feel comfortable with these places but many people use them, just don't settle for something totally seedy with no steady stream of customers walking in and out; otherwise you'd need to find out if the higher-end places have similar arrangements, I just don't know. I'm not sure what the airport means with their "limited" storage btw, you could try and contact them about it. http://www.airportsindia.org.in/igi/index.jsp (business hours only.)
