Ringo and Sunny are both in Connaught Place. Any idea how the area is down there? HOw does it differ from Paharganj? I'm inclining towards Navrang, not expecting too much since its really dirt cheap. But Paharganj VS Connaught anyone can give some comments? Paharganj's closer to Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk right? Any similar place like that near Connaught? Or is it a more upscale area?

Connaught Place is a better place, than Paharganj to stay. Both Sunny and Ringo are very well known names in Budget category...

CP is a lot cleaner place than Paharganj and has many good eating options.

CP is next door to Paharganj and has very good metro link to Chandani Chowk from where you may go to Jama Masjid as well.

I'm sure I saw a "New Ringo Guesthouse" in the lanes near the Smyle Inn .
Is it connected with the CP place or just another name rip off?

Paharganj is just 3 minutes with the rickshaw ,some 10 minutes on foot.

Godwin charges Rs. 2000 for 2 people.

Just before Godwin, Arya Niwas is also a good place, it charges Rs. 800 for a AC double room, which is terrific value. Go only for 4th floor rooms.

I wonder if you're thinking Grand Godwin Hotel, nextdoor. I don't recall paying that much for 4th floor room with attached bath ...about Rs 650 for single?

I'd think it was a name rip-off. But the old Ringo's was closed when I was in Delhi in December; they are remodeling. Sunny's is open, however, and still very cheap. They are owned by the same people and are on the same street.

We went to Hotel Godwin, there are 2 near each other, one is more expensive than the other,we asked for the price with all taxes included and were quoted 1300rs for the three of us, nice hotel and very clean. We had been to by mistake just round the corner to Hotel Singh Empire Dx and paid quite a lot lot as they quoted the price without taxes and so it's nasty surprise when you go pay and have all sorts of taxes added on -we paid about the double what we were originally told.

This tax thing happened to us in Mathura hotel manager gave me bill with tax . .So i said we did not talk about tax .Anyway i did pay with tax but only on full bill not written on plain paper . Manager was saying they make bill in evening only so i can not have it my reply was i would pay only if i get proper bill. which i did and have to pay because we did not make it clear on booking. Then on i learn my lesson to clear with hotel first.
