We are staying at Anoop Hotel - http://www.anupamhoteliersltd.com/html/anoop.htm
495 rps for non-air con double, own bathroom. They also run Ajay Hotel and the Hare Krishna, and can organise pickup from airport for 470 rps. |

I'm trying to book a room at Hare Krishna, as it seems OK from the description in my Rough Guide... but they haven't replied to my email yet.
Anyone know if it's better to phone them to book accommodation? Nitya108: I'll let you know how it is (if I end up getting a room there) in case you're still looking for tips! Thanks.. |

Hi, I just got a reply from Anoop hotel and they quote R495 for a double (attached), R595 for a double (attached) with AirCon, and R470 for the airport pickup.
Does that sound about right? Cheers! |

These hotels in Paharganj do not have their own PC for e-mail. Someone has to go to an Internet-cafe. Probably they do not know English that well either. Not many know their ways on Internet. Do not expect immediate response. Also phone reservation more reliable than e-mail, because they will most unlikely print out your mail (too expensive for them).

For Paharganj they are on the expensive side for the non-AC-room. The airport pickup is expensive too. The hotel's cost is about 180. But it's worth it for safety reasons.
