Thanks!
South Extension Market, popularly known as South Ex and the Gretaer Kailash Market (GK) has many good stores......
The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes - Marcel Proust
you can get in lajpat nagar also. and in greenlands.
Now if you really want to buy cheap but good stuff then go to sarojini nagar...man you get international brand in cheaper rates.....other than that if you really wanna buy expensive stuff than go to emporio mall in vasant kunj...you will get brands international designers stuff with indian designer too....
Thanks nidi...I'm not much aware of the rates for a western party dress(just normal dress,no salwar or sari)...do you have any idea? I think I can explore both of the places you have mentioned. Are they in South Delhi or North Delhi?
All three places, Saket, Sarojini Nagar & Vasant Kunj are in south Delhi and all are near to the Airport, Vasant Kunj being the nearest.
IMO, you should avoid Sarojini Nagar, that more of a casual cloths market for teenagers.....Emporio & Select Citywalk are high class places...

In which case, I would suggest you check out Vasant Vihar market, Priya Cinema - enough stuff there unless haute couture is what you are looking out for.
10-15 min to the airport and fits your requirements well.
of course, nothing comes close to Select City Walk.

yeah...like if you want to go and buy from sarogini nagar than it wouldnt cost you more than 300 buks....but if you have big pocket and can affort designer lebels than go to emporio, vasant kunj that can cost you minimum of 30,000 till 1,00,000-3,00,000 the maximum amount is endless...but if you want to buy western clothes from indian designer that can cost you starting from say 6,000....that you can get in ensemble, emporio, vasant kunj....while if you go to select city...then you can get international cheaper brands like gap, mango in minimum 3,000 but i tell the finishing will be horrible...and they all are india fabricated...apart from that i you can go to south ex....but you get few indian cheaper brands....which are not worth looking at!!and about priyas in vasant kunj....i dont have that idea about ...because i havent bought anything from there...though my folks say it is nice!!!all these places are in south delhi....
By the way the people who think that sarojini nagar is not a good market than let me tell you all the international brands which are being fabricated in india..be it zara, fcuk, mango,or even armani....their surplus garment are what we will find in sarojini nagar...that means the garments which you will see in select city walk that you can get in only 200 bucks in sarojini nagar.....and i am a designer....and working for a designer...so i'v seen it myself that manytime these designer get the stuff from sarojini nagar for their own refrences..infact many wellknown designers and a grade models wear sarojini nagar stuff!!

Well ! I didn't say that Sarojini Nagar is not a good market...I just said it's a Casual Clothes market mainly for teenagers........Fabricators of International brands sell their rejections here...but when you are in the trade you must be knowing that western brands are very strict about the disposal of rejects or surplus.....so you'll not find labels on rejects.....which means technically they are not D&G, FCUK or Mango.....
The ones with designers labels are simply fakes....

No my dear delhiwala.....you are absolutely wrong dear....yeah they do sell their rejection here...but they dont have all the rejections...when a certain style is made in sampling unit in different colorways and with different treatment....after it gets approved or not even approved they usually sell it to the sarojini market people...D&G is not fabricated in india....so i cant say about it but yeah FCUK,Mango they all are fabricated in india.yeah there are fake clothes but you have worn some brand and if know the difference between genuine and fake i am sure 1 can make out...any yeah i have many friends who work with big buying agencies and they cater brands like etro, maxmara etc....so i can say what they sell in sarojini market is not always fake...infact 70%it is genuine...
