Where to buy digital Camera in Delhi

Hi,

I live in Delhi at the moment and am looking to buy a canon digital camera - probably the Powershot A520 or the IX40.
I was told go to Connaught place but don't know where in that area to go
and don't wanna be wandering around aimlessly for hours.

I've been to Palika Bazar and have been told a lot of what they
sell is fakes from China where as I read here that some people have bought
their cameras there. I went to buy deouderant ther once and it was fake!

Can any one give me some advice on the best place to go?

I saw that site jjmehta.com and they have great prices but are in Mumbai
so a bit awkward if something is wrong with camera etc.

If you are interested in Canon only go Mahatta's shop opposit Nirula's hotel in CP. They are authorised dealers. If you decide on Sony they have many retail outlets like Sony world.
Unless you know all about cameras & know how to check all functions quickly avoid Palika bazar.

There's a good Sony outlet on Janpath near to Delhi Photo Company!

Palika bazarr!!! I was in delhi for two weeks and I got my camera there. There are a thousand little shops that sell electronics. be careful though, some are real shady. I wish i could remember the name of the place i went, they had a bunch of old cameras in the shop and they looked like a legit camera place, they knew what they were talking about and they probably repaired old cameras. they made up a little warenty for me for free (they signed a business card that said if something went wrong within a week I could get my money back) and tossed in a SD card for about half the going rate. I got the Nikon Coolpix 5mega pixel one for Rs. 9800 and when I checked an authorized dealer in CP he said it would be 1400 or something. The camera works beautifully, im estatic. they also had the ones you were looking for. I may be mistaken but I think you shoudldn't pay more than somewhere between Rs. 5000-7000. good luck.
