During the next 1,5 weeks I will be passing two times though delhi, both times having about one day available. As my mother is a great fan of darjeeling-tea I`d like to bring her some. anyone knows a place that does sell tea at good rates (maybe some factory-selling-store or something similar? thank you very mich in advance for your reply...

Try Sundar Nagar market - two tea dealers there, Mittal's is the best and will allow you to try before you buy. These are both small specialist shops - for factory outlets you probably need to try Darjeeling - but you'll get a decent choice of good quality teas.

There is one shop in Daryagunge called Aap ki Pasand, they sell hundreds of varieties of tea but closed on Sundays.
Other wise go to Oriental Fruit Mart in CP & buy Orange Pekoe brand Darjeeling tea.

buying of Darjeeling tea in India of course belongs to the travel experience and I also do that every time. However it is unlikely that you will get something extraordinary compared to what you could buy in Berlin. Neither will it be that cheaper. Last time I have compared the prices of premium teas (as far as was possible) and came up with a difference of 10-20%.
The only exception is the very good Kangra tea (black, not green one) which rarely available in Germany and if, then expensive.

Anyway, Sunder Nagar market suggested by emmbrook is indeed a very good address. Khan Market shops do also sell tea but Mittal's has definitely much better selection. Aap ki Pasand is also quite good.

Try the neighbours, too: There's a very delicate and flowery Darjeeling taste that I once had, but can't find. Compared to dozens (well, not quite) of other Darjeelings I've tried, I still prefer Assam and my Indian favourite: Sikkim.

KHO-CHA Teas (Kaka Nagar Market, Opposite Delhi Golf Course)

Kho-Cha, owned by Golden Tips Teas, which has 15 tea boutiques in the country, is an amazing tea shop. Situated right opposite the Delhi Gold Course, at a not very visible market, Kaka Nagar. ( 10-15 minutes from Khan Market & CP)

This is the oldest tea shop in delhi, established in 1980.
They have over 500 varieties of black teas, green teas, flavored teas, tea gifts (perfect for travelers & tourists) and tea accessories. ( Loose Teas & Tea Bags)

They let you taste as many teas you want, before you make a selection.
It is mind-boggling, the Varities of teas they have to offer.

Golden Tips is a very popular brand and in available all across India in all major stores and supermarkets.
