Is not a bad idea. I'll be staying in Metroplis Tourist Home in Pahargang, and have absolutely nothing to do.

Not all markets are closed on Sundayz. You can hit Karol Bagh or check out the numerous malls in the NCR region.. Also Old Delhi (daryaganj) comes alive on Sundayz with the book market.. You can spend hours dere browsing.. and bargain hunting...

What you wanna do?
shopping, foodie trip, 'get to the back lanes'. 'do what locals do', see the rich and famous of Delhi, have sunday brunch, walk the lutyens delhi, go touristy, people watch??????? the choices are unlimited even if you decide to stay in Delhi. Let me know...a bit in advance & I'll try to be there to take you around (NO, I'm not into travel industry, not even closely related to it)

Vinay
Maybe Jorge isn't interested, but I'd love to know where to go to see the rich and famous of Delhi (other than an IM meet, of course!), and what the locals would do on a Sunday ![]() |

Why not take a Delhi day tour, may be you can get to see places you have missed out in your past visits.

Many thanks to all for the advices. As I've already visited almost all the monuments, even several times, most probably I'll be hanging around a park (Memorial Ghandi is a great idea). How about Lodi Gardens???
Are the shops and restaurants in Khan market open??? Vinayverma: The sunday in question is 21st August, so you can leave a message to my attention in Metropolis Torurist Hotel as I arrive to Delhi late saturday night. Jorge |

The Gandhi SIMTRY or museam is well worth an hour or two reading about this great man.
A very touching place as it is also where he met his death!! Or have a look and see what's happening here at the Habitat Centre a place Vinay showed us during our last visit to Delhi ![]() |

Just for the future reader, the Gandhi memorial is at Raj Ghat, on the banks of the Yamuna not too far from Old Delhi, a very relaxed and hassle-free park or at least when I visited. Nearby Feroz Shah Kotla (the ruins of the 5th settlement of Delhi) is also really worth it.
