Weekends away from Delhi?

Ok so I have booked my flights and I am all ready to go to Delhi next week. I will be there for about a month from 11/1 - 11/2. I am going to be working for an NGO there during the week, but will have my weekends free.

I haven't been to the Taj so a trip to Agra will probably fill up one weekend.

Any ideas for other weekend trips away from Delhi?

Vicky

keep Jaipur in ur must-to-visit list. Just 250 km away from delhi..approx.....smooth highway.....

Nainital might always be in the cards..approx 300 km from delhi.....

if you are visint Agra, then why not Mathura, Vrindavan, etc. if you are interested.

@oneWoman: Am i correct??

p.s.: what is the English style of writing dates, mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy??

My bad. I didn't even think about it. If I am not mistaken, I think that the Indian and English Styles are the same.

A trip to Neemrana fort can be very enjoyable in this weather. A part of the fort has been converted in to a resort. The rooms & the ramparts offer stunning views. Bonfire & dinner on the terrace are great.

You could try Haridwar and Rishikesh too over the weekend. If you wish to have some peace and quite try Rajaji National park near Haridwar. We went there last year and I wrote a small account that might help in planning your trip:
