| Waiting room facilities in Delhi domestic airport terminal Hi, I'd be travelling to Delhi late this month. My bangalore flight will reach delhi at 10.15 pm and I have to catch the train to haridwar next day morning. Due to this contraint, I have to avail some waiting room in the Domestic terminal of Delhi airport where I can stay overnight and then go to the railway station next morning to catch the train. Please let me know if there're any decent waiting hall facilities therein. My wife would also be travelling along. Regards, Anirban |

| You may not be able to get any accommodation at the airport. However, you could just choose to occupy a corner around the baggage collection area. If you have a Upper Class ticket for train, staying at NDLS is a better option, in the waiting hall. You may even try Yatri Niwas. Even otherwise, as you need to be at the RS, so choose some simple accommodation at karol bagh / pahar gunj. If I were you, I'll take a bus to Haridwar from Delhi and relax there in a hotel/ashram. :-) |

| No Sleeping facility at Delhi airport... It's just a waiting hall with chairs.... very clean toilets.... Dear sdsudarshan, Yatri Niwas is no longer there, it's been taken over by Tatas and they have metamorphed it into Ginger, a very beautiful hotel in budget range....

| Thanks a lot to both sdsudarsan and delhiwala... The point of concern is the time..it'll be around 10.30 pm, so I am a bit worried about travelling all the way to the Railway Station for availing the waiting hall. Is there any restrictions on staying at the airport lounge for the night, if one doesn't have onward journey air tickets? I heard about such a possibility from one of the friends. I wanted it to confirm from this forum. If yes, then which is the best and safest option that you people advise? Thanks, Anirban |
