Vaishnaw hotel

Does anybody know this hotel? They charge 900inr for an AC room, it's situated in Old Delhi and the Guide de routard is very positive about it (they say it's their best discovery in Delhi)... But I can't find any reviews on the internet.
However, is it a good idea to stay in Old Delhi? We also called Master Paying guesthouse, but it's full...

Hi everybody,

Well,it looks like nobody knows this hotel. So, we will just take the risk, if it's too bad we just go somewhere else. I will let you know if it's really that good as described!!!

The adress is Fatehpuri 23, they say it's between fatehpuri masjid and the old delhi trainstation...

About my nick: my name is Delphine, but that nickname was already taken, and since were going to india and that's the topic here, I wanted to make it Delphineinindia, but that seemed too long, so I shortened it :-)

Vaishnaw hotel

Hallo Delphine,

Thierry

Hallo Thierry

Well, like I said the hotel seemed very nice, so we called to book it for our first night. It wasn't an very easy call, because they diidn't seem to understand us very well, but in the end they confirmed us that they would keep a room for us and that we had to pay on arrival. We asked if they could arrange a pick up at the airport. Unfortunately they didn't, but they said there were plenty of taxis, so no problem. We arrived at 4 o'clock in the morning, took a cab at the airport, but, tired fist-time in India tourists that we were, we got scammmed. They didnn't drop us at the Vaishnaw hotel we got very mad, but we coudn't do anything... There were no other taxis there, we didn't know our way in Delhi, so we finally checked in a different (very bad) hotel. So I'm still very curious if the Vaishnaw hotel was as good as described in Trotter... I hope the beginninf of your holiday will turn out better! But aside form this scam (luckily the only one we encountered), we had a wonderfull trip and we will definitely go back to india!
