Update - Delhi's Most Beautiful Taxi Driver
You may recall the thread about the rickshaw driver caught feeding stray dogs and not willing to take a big tip. Delhi's Most Beautiful Rickshaw Driver
Over 5,000 folks have read that post and the response was simply heartwarming. So much so that the driver, Sandeep, has been getting very very busy with IndiaMikers calling him to hire his rickshaw. Well, the great good news is that business has been so good for Sandeep that he has been able to move up to a four wheeler, a real taxi. With a little financial help from IndiaMikers also. So ... those of you who wanted to hire Sanjeep for longer trips, can. He is licenced for all India and can take you wherever your heart desires. Airport pickup and dropoff also, 24 hours a day. Isn't it fantastic that such a sweet guy has been rewarded for his kindness and great driving. Thanks India Mikers. |

What a heartwarming story. And so nice to hear that a person who cares so deeply for other living things AND is a honest and humble person is finding rewards in life.

thanks for that info. I came back here specifically to find this guys details as i'll be in India in 2 weeks time.
I know he's got a phone number but does he have an email address to contact also? Any idea how much he charges to pick up at the airport and take to Karol Bagh? Thanks in advance.  |

Veggie - I doubt he has an E Mail. Call him on his cell number.
Why bother about the rates ? You know he is the best & a honest chap. If I was you I'd call & arrange for him if he is free. Airport to Karol bagh by Taxi would be a couple of hundreds ( 500 or so ) and depends what time, Night time is a bit more expensive, day time's allright. |

thanks. I wasn't sure if he had an email, i'll just ring him.
Is he a guide too? Like if i booked him for half a day "sightseeing" would he just drop me off and wait for me or would he join us and tell us about what we are looking at etc? Sorry for the stupid questions...  |

i thought you may like to know that i spoke to mr sanjeep tonight. very humble man, good english. he can pick me up at the airport for 600INR (5;45am). he has an email address for those that want it.... sandeeptaxi@gmail.com he seems lovely and very quite and humble nice man!
