Question Ultimate Frisbee in Delhi?

Hi!

I'm traveling to Delhi next week. I've looked at different web sites and haven't found any Ultimate Frisbee links for Delhi. Does anyone know if there are pickup games or other ways to get to play while I'm on vacation? I was going to check out some universities while there for the best source.

Thanks!

LOL,LoafFree! Methinks Razi and frisbeegal met up and forgot about frisbees!! I would have suggested he post in normal English not SMS language. Incidentally, in your search did you come across any frisbee clubs in Delhi?

it's a pity, nope.

i/we, bunch of us, play ultimate frisbee every evening, and it eventually culminates in a bloodfest every sunday. aching shoulders, broken egos, twisted grimaces, great fun.

that he might have...

the issue here is that the community needs to weed out potential threats like this guy... i trust this site. i've always consulted here before i embark on my travels. there are many naive souls out there who'll fall for this shit. and that's bad for the community.

He hasn't posted for four years and I think unlikely to - but reading all posts - pick-up girls type of thing, knows travel agents etc. I think we'll close his account right now in case he ever comes back! Interesting what you find in these old threads, isn't it??

... It might pay for people to know that "ultimate frisbee," or apparently "ultimate disc," or simply "ultimate," is actually a sport played with a frisbee.

At least I wouldn't have known if I hadn't looked it up because of this thread, I'd be surprised if many non-Americans would know. As a mere layman, you might think someone in 2004 were looking for the ultimate frisbee, so to speak (leading to much pondering of "But why in Delhi??" )

nb The game as such (that of ultimate frisbee) I'd be likewise surprised if it were played in Delhi on any scale to speak of, but then who knows, indeed.

I've seen frisbee throwing going on around India Gate area - whether this is 'ultimate frisbee' (btw I've never heard of this term either) or not, I don't know. For those in the know re 'ultimate frisbee' my curiosity has been whetted - what's the difference between ordinary chucking the frisbee about, and 'ultimate frisbee'?

http://www.ukultimate.com/
http://www.whatisultimate.com/

Etc.

Thanks, Mach (I'm a bit lazy, sorry!!) My goodness, it's a totally different sport to what I was thinking! No, that's not what I've seen at India Gate - haven't spotted any of those nets up or teams of people.
