Travellers Meet in Delhi on 9th Jan

Yes, the first meet of the year is here.....

Date: 9th Jan
Day: Friday
Time: starts at 1600Hrs....
Meetup venue at 1600 Hrs: 'Cafe Coffee Day' Cannought Place, Behind Wimpy's and Near 'Barista'

We meet at CCD and depending on what majority wants to do in the evening we move on for drinks & dinner and maybe dance at one of the clubs.

Who all are in?

I think these 'meets' are a fabulous idea. I can't make this one but if there is another in March I will surely be there!!

Well now Mike our feelings are hurt. You are to be in Delhi and haven't called us! We don't go to "traveler's meets", (except the one where Wonder Woman came back in December), because it would be like trolling for clients. (That is, trolling in the sense of fishing, in case that is an American idiom only.) But I'd like for you to meet at least one of us!

Oldhippie: When I registered on Indiamike, I was in Tokyo but planning to relocate to Delhi..so both but now I live in Delhi..so changed it in my profile...lets meetup whenever you happen tobe in Delhi..or when I'm in Mumbai.

Oh !! Mike:..wish we knew about your schedule...yes maybe I was not following the 'generic countdown' thread closely..we can still catch up for few pints of Cobra/ Kingfisher/ or Guiness on 10th (Saturday) if you have time.

NIT: Hope to see you on 9th, don't worry about fishing.

Indiaguide...hmmm..train at 5..if its from New Delhi Rly Station....you can still make it from CP..drop in for a Hello???

However, I do not foresee my visiting India over the next 6 months, as I was there last November.

Any chance of your visiting Yangon?

Thanks Vinay, the 15 March is my birthday and I am planning on spending it in India (beware the Ides of March). I leave home on 27th Jan for Bangkok so I would guess a month in the Land Of Smiles will be enough, then India landing in Kolkata, staying until I either run out of money (unlikely with the AUD at Rs35) or get really homesick!
