The best Delhi thalis?

What are the best places where commoners lunch in Delhi?

Ever since I travelled Rhajastan, I've found out that the food served at big places for normal Indian people are so good that no day passed without having a tali either for lunch or dinner.

As I'm arriving to Delhi in mid-Feb it would be good to know where to go and what to try?

Also, are thalis always veg as i've experienced or they can contain meat?

Thalis can contain meat as well, however Delhi doesn't have much of a Thali system...

You can visit soth Indian restaurants like Sagar for thalis.
For non veg option the Kashmiri thail(platter) at Chor Bizare near Delhi gate is recommended.

I second that, however they are not 'Delhi Thali', they are what their name says, 'Kashmiri Thali' and 'South Indian Thali'

The Thali or Meals at Andra Bhawan gets my vote. Also thali at Rajdhani is good though you end up eating too much even if you smaple all the stuff on offer in unlimited thali.
thali is also popular at some of the restaurants in Karol bagh area.

Rajdhani is very popular in Mumbai...they have just opened a new outlet in Delhi a couple of months back..

I thing they serve Rajsthani/Marwari/Gujrati cuisine, and it is essentially veg. I doubt you will even find onion and garlic there.

I have no clue about the prices, however given its popularity, a normal Thali should not be more than Rs.100.

While still on Thali, I have just remembered a great place. Go to Gole Market, hardly 5 minutes from CP and there is a restaurant or eatery by names of Gupta's, its near Kaleva. I had their Thali once few years back and simply loved it.
