Taxi from Delhi Airport to Agra / Bharatpur

Hi
I'm arriving with two friends in Delhi (airport terminal 2) in early Feb, arriving late in the afternoon. It would be around 6pm by the time we get our baggage after the flight, and we would like to get to Bharatpur, or at least to Agra (if Bharatpur is too far) on the same day. Are taxis a good option and what would be the likely cost, to Bharatpur (or to Agra)?
Thanks for any help

The Govt. operated pre-paid taxis at the airport will only ply within Delhi. There are private taxi booths who might do the Agra trip.
Are you very short of time? Delhi is full of things to see and experience so don't give it a miss.

Taxi from Delhi Airport to Agra / Bharatpur

Thanks for the reply. I want to go to Bharatpur for a couple of days (2 out of the 3 of us are birdwatchers), spend a day or so in Agra, then back to Delhi (and perhaps go out to Sultanopur for instance) for a couple of days before heading off again. I could stay in Delhi initially but since I need to depart from Delhi later, I think I'm best to spend time there before departure rather than on arrival.
If only private cars operate to out-of-Delhi places, what is the likely cost to get to Bharatpur/Agra.

Ok. The best option is to get in touch with a tour opearator. Please search the site for reccomendations. Arrange to get picked up from the airport and then drive off to Bharatpur.
Sultanpur used to be a good sanctuary but of late it has detoriated. Since you are interested in birds you can think of going to Garh Mukteswar in UP not very far from Delhi.
About the cost depending on the type of car it could be around Rs.8 per Km and the driver will take about Rs.150 each night. You are required to pay for minimum 200 Km of travel every day. Tour operators will add toll and other charges.
