¿sunny ?guest house in Connaught Place/Delhi?

Hi everybody,
Does anyone know Sunny (I don't know if the spell is correct) guest house in Connaught place in Delhi? If yes, is it good? clean, good price?
Also, I've read in this forum about a place in connaught place where you can rent a car with a driver for 15 days for US$445? does somebody remember the name of the place? thanks,
I'm planning to travel to India next september....I will be in the north and in the Rajhastan area...what do you recommend?

It is many years since I've been inside Sunny's Guest House, but I normally stay at Ringo's, on the same street and owned by the same people. Ringo's is inexpensive, clean and well-managed, and the people who work there are all very nice.

These are both on Scindia Lane, off Janpath -- the AirIndia office is on the corner.

Thank you for the info. Do you know by any chance if they have a web page or email where I can contact them?

I have lost the e-mail address I had, but it's normally not necessary to book a place at Ringo's (and I assume same for Sunny's). Just get there early in the morning; people will be checking out and you can drink tea on the terrace until your room is ready.

The only time I've ever called in advance for a room at Ringo's was when I was going to arrive in Delhi on New Year's Day and thought it might be crowded.

should be way cheaper

generally speaking, Rs900 (~$22) will get you an newish A/C car and driver for 8 hours and 80km, with each extra km costing about 9 rupees. So $455 for 15 days sounds a bit pricey I think...you should be able to negotiate something a bit cheaper. Most agencies price similarly except for the tourists.

I stayed at Sunny guesthouse in November last year. It cost 350 rupees for a double room with bathroom. I absolutely love the place. It is very basic, the people who work there are really nice, and it is very quiet at night.
I also stayed at Ringo guesthouse they were just as good.

Sunny does not have an email address but you could give them a ring once you get there. We had no problems getting a room but it was during winter months.
