-Likes/Dislikes-

You need to have 2 features in order to like this place:

- be on an extremely low budget (check out the ridiculously low price for a single. In a metro like Delhi, I consider this CHEAP)

- be extremely adventurous and open minded. Your single room will be more like a crevice in a cave with a rock hard bed and a creaky wooden window.

But hey, how can one stay indoors in a place like Delhi? Love it or hate it, you must GET OUTDOORS! In which case, does it matter where you crash for the evening, as long as the rest of the tenants are a cool bunch of international travellers, the owner is friendly and you're bang in the center of New Delhi?

For the life of me, I never understood why people prefer staying in Paharganj. Connaught place offers you all the flexibility of shopping in handicraft stores, arranging onward travel to other parts of India and the tourism divisions of other states (HP, UP etc). Plus, if you arrive in the middle of the night from Europe, taxi drivers are more familiar with Connaught Place than Paharganj. This guest house is located on Scindia Road, a major road in New Delhi, so there is no question of your driver getting lost.

Overall, I'd give this place a ranking of 3 out 5.

$15-20 per day seems like a comfortable budget for india(depends also though on the places u intend to visit..) unless u intend to stay only in the five stars and travel only by air..try and make it not later than march as it gets really hot here after that..hope u have a great time here
