Chilla Sanctuary
Shilpa you may check out Chilla Reserve forest.
Chila Wildlife Sanctuary spread over an area of 820sq.km. & at an altitude of 300 to 1350 mts, a haven for animal watchers is about 8 kms. from Haridwar. A stay at the tourist lodge is preferred by most tourists to enjoy the peaceful scenic surroundings. Tourists can avail to stay with prior notice at GMVN Tourist Bungalow. GMVN Gujar Huts. Irrigation Forest Bungalow. Forest Rest House. Since you like water, The rafter’s camp at Kaudiyala developed by GMVN is just 62 kms. from Chila, providing an excellent opportunity for river rafting and water sports. |

Tiger Den run by Rajasthan Tourism is a reasonable option and is inside the forest. Check out http://rajasthantourism.gov.in for info on Sariska and Siliserh lake. If you start early in the morning its only a 4 hour drive.
Yes, no tigers left in Sariska. The last one was spotted several years back though my friends who visited the park last year swore that they heard a roar. ![]() |

Raju's Cottage is quite nice and peaceful but a 12 hour plus drive from Delhi unless you fly to Kullu so you would need more than a weekend.

hey ppls
i did go to the siliserh lake palace resort. its a 3-4 drive from delhi , v close to alwar. its beautiful place and a good place to chill over a weekend. will upload the snaps soon. it got a little crowded on saturday evening, coz the place is open for even people who dont stay at the resort. otherwise its quite peaceful. |
