Social Work/"Charity"/Delhi Kids House

I learnt about Gaby (German, 30 years, for 2 1/2 years in Delhi, helping people to die in respect and helping people with TB and AIDS and also street kids - getting several of them even cured and also back to the home village!) only short time ago and met her today to get more details about her work.
I asked her to come over to the conference at Hotel Taj Palace to promote her work - but realized that most of the Indian visitors are not keen helping people who "found their KARMA".
We went to the coffee shop and to see Gaby almost exited about the atmosphere was even a little bit painful; but to notice her strenght was also a very special experience!
If you are interested please look at the web site www.delhihouse.org - you can e-mail her at delhikids@vsnl.com.
If you want to join her for a certain time I guess you are more than welcome.

Please don't hold it against me but www.delhihouse.org frightens me.

Though I have not seen their work first hand some of the things on their website and their parent website (http://www.steiger.org/ ) bother me. Particularily the graphic images and the mission statement of

Though I am not against helping the homeless and destitute I do have a problem with charities creating "Rice Christians" and I would be curious to find out if their organization is more into healing people or just converting them.

Sorry to voice such a strong opinion on them without seeing their work first hand, but this is the general impression I get from reading their website.

Mike, I guess that people who have solved very big problems they had themselves in life might to tend to a certain Christianity I also cannot follow myself. What I know that they are doing good work. I's just in Hindustantimes www.hindustantimes.com that there is a report about "German Samaritan".
