nope, i dont think you are accurate with that..
I know for a fact that their range starts from as little as 600-700 depending on what you buy. Embroidered yes, if one means punjabi style then i guess not but for Zari its a good place. |

For good ethnic Sarees (and if do not want to bargain or be cheated), try state emporiums located at Baba Kharak Singh Marg (radial road exiting South West of Connought Place). You have a choice from Kashmir to Tamil Nadu within a kilometer stretch of the road.

Yep, so did I. And I even looked good in it too
![]() Seriously, I was amazed at the money being spent on wedding clothers by some relatives last time I was in Delhi. Not inflation. Robbery and conspicuous consumption, to my untrained eye. |

Sari
Jaz,
I know of a designer here who has a shop in South Delhi where I purchased my two saris for a wedding I attended in February. Both saris were around the 20,000rps mark although she has some cheaper saris and more expensive! I'm not sure whether your sister would be interested in seeing her shop as I think your sister is looking at more top range designers but I would be happy to help with information and go along to the shop if she is interested in having a look.

Prob more of the latter...it gets worse every year...and not to forget the way wedding invitations are shaping out to be... we recently got one in a rosed-wood box which other than containing almonds, barfi, also had wine and a bottle of scotch...oh yes and the wedding card as well...
