I know one, she is a Russian national residing in Delhi. Any specific reason why you need a Russian teacher?

Maybe the piano is Russian and the OP simply requires a tutor...

LOL. From the how specific can you get really dept. (and then hope to find the answer here while you're at it).

Hey, lesser miracles have been known to happen (and then even Darkside does seem to have a contact in fact)

(Or maybe it's the Russian piano that needs tutoring? C Minor now, tovarich! Schlapp!)

i am a piano student. The Russian techniques are the best in the world. no wonder about the pianists like horowitz, ashkaazy, bunin.. have got it right. This is the reason for me being specific about Russian pianist. Also i tried for the admission in moscow uniersity. Right now i could not get it. I am not a good pianist.I am learning the basics now though i know to play pieces on my own earlier. i always lacked even now the basic and proper way of piano learning. Right now i am working haard with the hanon..If you could please let me know about the contact details.

Well, especially if you're just beginning to learn, I don't imagine the teacher's nationality would matter a whole lot. (Nor am I so sure if there exists any "Russian technique"? There might be, what do I know. I'm not aware the country spawning a number of virtuosos has anything to do with a specific technique as such though. Maybe a demanding teaching system has more to do with it.)

Anyway, good luck with it If I were you, I'd just go looking for a decent piano teacher. You'd think a place like Delhi must have some, and probably some music schools at various levels, and so on. Of course, no teacher or their approach can work wonders for you; they can only hopefully guide you in whatever input you're willing to give yourself.

Good point -- I once read an interview with martial artist Bruce Lee, and he commented that he had people paying him $1000 per hour (in the early 70s) for lessons when, at their level of ability, they could do just as well with a knowledgeable local instructor...
