Me too!
Hi there. I'm also looking for somewhere to watch the final. I saw the semi-final at the French Embassy, and have been trying to find out whether there will be a similar arrangement at the British High Commission for tomorrow.
Not sure of places in terms of bars, but if you are in Delhi for the first time and staying in Paharganj, then maybe some bar in Connaught Place would be the best place to go. I live about 14km south of there, as a student at JNU, so might try to find somewhere closer by to watch it. Still not sure though. Most importantly - will you be supporting England or South Africa?! |

Hi MrEd,
I'm supporting ENGLAND!! I'm actually only in Delhi for 6hrs this time (coming back for more at a later date) and hadn't thought about getting a room to sleep! I'm more interested in watching the Rugby & then heading back out to the airport till my flight to Udaipur!! I don't know if I'm being a bit ambitious.... but I'd rather watch the Rugby than sleep!!! FAR MORE IMPORTANT!!! Anyway, let me know where you're going to watch it, and maybe I'll meet you there! Although, I may change my mind if you're a Springbok-supporter!!! Just kidding!!! May the best team win!!! (GO ENGLAND!) |

Good to hear! I'll certainly be cheering England all the way as well!!!
I've just contacted the British High Commission. They're having a BBQ and screening the match. You have to call ahead and give your name (I think you may need a British Passport). The game kicks off at 12.30am and the banter begins at 10pm. You'll need to get your name registered by calling the High Commission on 011 2687 2161 (that from India - if from abroad then (0091) instead of 011). When's your flight arriving? Leave a message here, or maybe we'll meet at the High Commission. Enjoy the match if you manage to watch it elsewhere! Come on the England! |

I would try the bar at The Imperial on Janpath. I am pretty sure that they would have it on the big screen there.
Good Luck |
