Rocking out in Delhi

This article, which is about Shillong, NOT Delhi, made me want to see an Indian rock band: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/23/ar...618&ei=5087%0A

I won't be in Shillong, but thought I might be able to catch a show in Delhi...

Does anybody know where I could find concert information online?

the next big gig is in August (Independence Rock Fest)

apart from that small gigs keep happeening in pubs around Delhi.

do you want to meet up with band members of delhi based bands? btw you may want to google "rock street journal" and "gigpad" tofind out about indian bands and their gigs.

there are some nice underground bands in delhi but you have to find them

at the risk of sounding very opinionated , coz i dont ahve time to explain, Delhi does not have any GOOD rock bands..yes there are rock bands..whether they are good is a different issue alltogether...

You can check listings at www.rsjonline.com or Timeout Delhi. There ARE some good Delhi/Delhi based bands - Soulmate,HFT and Indian Ocean are all from Delhi and I'm sure that there are one or two hard rock/metal bands worth listening to. Superfuzz,Them Clones and IIIrd Sovereign come to mind.

Krosswondz, a pretty old soft rock band from Calcutta would be playing in Blues this Thursday. And yep, RSJOnline is the best site to keep yourself updated about the rock gigs, not only in Dilli but all over the country.

I second (third?) (fourth?) RSJ. Best place to find out infos. Kolkata will have better bands. So will Bangalore.

thats not unfortunately he case. the last decent band to come out of kolkata is skinny alley. bangalore.......few consider TAAQ to be good.
