1) As the railway reservation is till H.Nizamuddin station then from there how much distance is N.Delhi ? or can we get a cheap hotel near H.Nizamuddin?
2)There are lot of information on Paharganj and i hope the place is near N.Delhi ?
3)Where can we get good and budget food as we are a family of 5 and planning to stay the whole 3days ?

2] Paharganj area is just outside New Delhi Railway station & has lots of budget hotels.
4] Rikshaws hardly run on meter (or never). Fix your price before sitting.

Do take a ride in Metro Train.

Ronak.

4) Before getting into the rickshaw, tell the man where you want to go and say an amount you are comfortable with and get them to confirm. I usually paid 40 rupees for normal rides, and up to 70 for longer rides.

1. New Delhi station is a short autorickshaw ride from Nizamuddin. Yes there are quite a few midlevel & budget accomodation near Nizamuddin station.
2. Pahargunge is full of budget hotels.
3. What kind of food is your choice? Plenty of eating options in Delhi.
4. Even Delhites fail to persue auto drivers to go by meter so as a visitor forget it. Before starting out enquire about fares from the guy at the reception of your hotel.

yes, i have never managed to get a rickshaw with the meter working! I also find that trying to get a rickshaw from paharganj is normally an expensive business and so make my way to the pre-pay stand outside the train station....if i dont take the shiny new metro that is
