would not judge the size tag on most clthes to represent the true size, as most of themare made for all over the world the size tages could be british, eurpoean, UStates, or plain Indian

the size on labels of indian clothes are relavant only on upscale brands. "Try before you buy" anything else. Marked sizes are horrendously inaccurate.

Easiest way to get the right size of Indian clothes for yourself or people back home is to get their measurements and measure the clothes in the shop - most shops have a tape measure for you to use, if not they'll borrow one from the neighbour.
Chest measurement is the most commonly used for women, not sure for men. If you're buying chappal/jooti they often have the size on them in European sizes (ie my large-ish ladies foot is a 40) |

Hi Ya...
I found with shoes to use the europe sizes eg 38 39 40 etc. U can find out what size u are if you look in side ur joggers. But I must say that the shoes I got were a little smaller than I normaly take. But if u have a starting point it helps. Good luck and good shopping |

size
Now most of the stuff comes wi S, M, L & XL sizes. For shoes walk to any store they have a measuring scale so you wont go wrong.
Good luck. |

Getting stuff made-to-measure is very cheap; you can take a sample along for size, or just take measurements rather than 'sizes' for clothes
