Oh Dear!! Oh Dear!! I am leaving for MANALI on Tuesday 21st November. I am currently in PUNE. The flight bookings are done - but I am afraid it may not work out - read more for the reasons!! I got a GO AIR flight from PUNE (07:45) to DELHI (arrives:09:40 at terminal 1B) and then I get a AIR DECCAN flight from DELHI which leaves at 10:15 from TERMINAL 1A to arrive in KULU valley at 11:30. And check-in for AIR DECCAN flight closes at 9:45 (half-hour prior to departure)!!!! And no WEB-CHECK-IN either!! If the GO AIR flight gets delayed even by a few minutes... poof!! And I have to get back to PUNE by 23rd / 24th Nov at the most, so a flight to Himachal was being counted upon! So dear IMers, will I make it? Please please please say that AIR DECCAN flights always get delayed!! And if not, will I be able to sprint from Delhi DOMESTIC TERMINAL 1B to 1A in under 5 minutes? Finally if everything is NO, then where can I atleast get a bus to SHIMLA atleast immediately in the morning at around 10 - 11 pm so that my trip to Delhi won't be wasted? Thanks, and hope you will be able to say something!

Even if you have only cabin baggage & your Go Air flight lands at 9:40 you will come out of terminal 1A not earlier than 10, so no way you can make it.

Boo Hoo!! And thanks for knocking some sense into me :-) I am trying to cancel AIR DECCAN now .... Probably the overnight bus is a good idea.... But wait, even if I turn out to be a NO SHOW, I just lose around Rs.600 (I booked early :-) ) so should I patiently wait and hope that I might make it, assuming that Air Deccan DELHI-KULU gets (a bit) delayed.? And are there buses to MANALI available in the morning?

At that time you wont get a direct bus to Manali. Advance reservation is required for the comfortable Volvo overnight service.

The SPRINT from TERMINAL 1A to TERMINAL 1B Here is what you see about the IGI Domestic Airport, Delhi on Google Earth: ![]() To get this as a rollover image paste this in your browser: http://www.flickr.com/photos/85296574@N00/178035022/ So, after some mathematics, how much time does one need to rush from terminal 1A and dash into terminal 1B? If only they allowed folks "already secured inside the runway" to run across across the field into the waiting Air Deccan ATR.... !!Wanted this time (in minutes / seconds?) desperately.... I know I am behaving like an asshole... IMers please bear with me...

Did it... but not under four hours!! Hi Folks, I am back from Manali with a less than broken back with 16 + 16 + 10 hour bus rides in a span of ..er.. 3 days! The flight from Pune was delayed by 45 minutes.. instead of leaving at 7:45am and reaching at 9:45am like my sweet itenary, it managed to take of at 8:30 am and reach by 10:45am. And the height of all this was that on landing I got an SMS that the Kulu flight is delayed and instead of 10:15am it would leave at 10:50am. So would have made it if this had blasted off on time. So instead of soibbing quietly moved off to ISBT Kashmere Gate - first bus to Manali was at 4:40pm (an ordinary bus, no volvo till 8:30pm!) - booked it and after a back-grinding journey reached Manali with its snowcapped mountains at 9:30am. Booked the HPTDC Rohtang Pass tour found the company of the European Union.. a UK lady, a Czech guy and a Italian...) and had fun in a fresh snowfall (with snowflakes falling) - they also took us to Solang Valley - it was amazing - no skiing yet of course but nice place. Fromt he weather, looks like the snow would reach Manali's streets any day now... The HPTDC bus dropped me off at 4:20pm and I spotted a "Deluxe" bus leaving for Delhi and boarded it... finally bye bye Manali in under six hours! (crazy!) Similar journey way back, the bus was searched by police on exiting the border (scotsman be careful) ... Had a lot of fun and was lucky to find snow after all. Some snaps attached...
