Pre-Paid taxi/auto rank at H Nizamuddin?

Hey,
Taking a train to delhi from goa and will be arriving to H Nizamuddin and need to get north west to Karol Bagh. Can anyone advise if there is a pre-paid taxi stand at this station or otherwise how much it will cost me to get across there in taxi/rickshaw? do you think it will take about 30 mins or longer? May try and brave the train a bit further north but just wanting contingency plan (will be first time to Delhi)

Hi,

I don't recall there being a prepaid stand at either exits. The rickshaw drivers can be a bit funny at Hizrat - my friend got their shoe spat on for laughing at their idea of a good price. That said, there are of course some nice drivers, but they will probably ask for around 200 rupees, it should be no more than 100 and the journey could take up to an hour to karol bagh depending on the traffic.

Yes there is a pre-paid taxi booth at Nizamuddin. It is on the left as you come out of the station.
What time does your train arrive. If it is not during the rush hour check out if there is a local train to New Delhi station. You can take a metro to Karol Bagh from new Delhi station.
By taxi it depends on the time & traffic. Half an hour to 45 minutes.

Yes, there is. But lots of touts too. First time there I had the whole " hotel burnt down " trick as well. Just be determined; act as though you know what you are doing ( ie going to prepaid booth).

Just go over the overbridge and take no notice of what people on the way are saying. Just ignore them.

I found that once I got to the booth, paid my fare, everything was easy. And as the prepaid auto drivers were co-operative and civil, I gave them a tip.Suppose I've arrived at NZM 20 times.

Prepaid is at left but what exit?.
If we take overbridge then there ared two exits--one towards
Humanyun tomb and the other one towards Sarai Kale Khan Bus Terminal and Ring Road.
So the prepaid is at which exit?.
I need to use Hazrat Niaz. next month

Prepaid booth is for Auto only. I booked one and then came to know about this. It was January early morning so canceled by paying Rs 5 and took one Taxi ( Maruti Van ) so not sure I paid more or paid best price to the taxi.

Before that once I used pre paid booth for a Auto by paying Rs 60 to New Delhi station. After loading all bags the driver asked extra Rs 10 for ( extra ) luggages.

Till what time can we get pre paid auto at nizamuddin railway station ? I am planning to return from agra in Taj express which reaches nizamuddin at 10PM. (can get delayed also..)

The Taj Express usually arrives on time. 10 PM is not very late during summer.
Where do you want to go from the station?

you can get transport 24 hours...almost anywhere in Delhi..and this is a station...so no need to worry...

10 PM is fine...you would probably see or meet one too many auto walah's then you would care for..!
