pls recommend a nice restaurant in gurgaon.

I am visiting my family in gurgaon this spring and want to take them out for a nice dinner. They prefer vegetarian and north indian food.
i know gurgaon has changed a lot since i last visited. i am looking for a place that is not too intimidating for my middle class family but is very nice too. not too too expensive either.
thanks.

Hello.

1 - Punjabi by nature at infinity tower. Excellent
2 - Trident Hilton Brunch on sunday.
3 - The monk in Galaxy mall - great sticky rice. (32 milestone)
4 - Chowk in meteropoliton mall.
5 - Low key - Chandi top of meteropoliton mall for lunch buffet - dhal as good as Bakhaura.

There is also the famous "Rajdhani" of Crawford market, Mumbai fame in one of the Malls - Maybe Metropolitan. It serves thai style gujurati meal.
There is Chore Bazare - The kashmiri fare one of the other malls.

The Great Kabab Factory is a great place that also offers an entirely veg menu (abt Rs.500 or so per person plus tax). It's at Hotel Park Plaza off NH8.

Else Rajdhani is probably the best veg food (very economical too, abt Rs.200 per thali incl. tax).

Chor Bizarre at MGF Metropolitan Mall is great, too, and they have a buffet as well. Don't remember the prices, though. Must have been around 300per head for a veg ticket.

I do not recommend Punjabi by nature. I know it's a great hit with so many ppl but I just could never warm up with that place no matter how many times i went there, and i felt cheated when i got the (monstrous) bill considering the quality of food. Anyway, entirely a matter of taste.
