I have been in Delhi for 4 days now and have tried to ring around for hotel rooms... very annoyingly about half the time I get that damn tune telling me to check the number or that other disconnected tune.
SO any ideas how the numbers have changed... None of the Sunder nagar places numbers work, Master paying Guest house number does not work other places are a hit and miss affair. Wots the place to find out the number from TICs or is there like a directory enquiries number (using Airtel mobile) that can help me out? If there is how much does it cost? |

Hi frooty,
If you know the name of the hotel you could look up at http://www.bsnl.co.in/map.htm The link for Delhi is: http://delhi.mtnl.net.in/directory/howtouse.htm You can also call 1500 (as per the website) which is free of cost. Regards sk |

The Delhi telephone numbers are now 8 digit, with a "2" added at the start of the old number. If you've been dialling the old numbers, try adding "2" and see if you get through.
