| Passing through Delhi - Need advice Passing through Delhi on my way to Rajashan next week and need some advice. I am arriving at the International Airport around 12:30 pm and have until 11:00 pm that night to look around. Here goes: 1. Thought of catching a bus to New Delhi Station, storing my bag and wandering around Old Delhi? Is that possible? Worthwhile? Is there a bus ND Station from the Airport? Does ND Station have baggage check? How far is the Red Fort and Old Delhi from there? What should I see? Where should I eat? 2. Will need to get from there to S Rohilla station for the 11 pm train. What is the best way and how far is it? Any thoughts on this issues would be appreciated. Have e-mailed the tour company that was suggested on this site to see whether they could provide a service and at what price. Thanks for your help YettiRick from Bhutan |

| International Airport has City bus service which can drop you at ND Railway station. I am not sure if they go to old delhi railway station..if they do you better go to old delhi. The bag storage or cloak room facility is there (at both the stations), the bag has to be locked (its okey if you lock the zipper) Red Fort and Old Delhi are say 30 min. distance from NDRS (the auto fellow should take around Rs. 40) Places to see there are...Chandni Chauk, Gurdwara, Jama Masjid (which are walkable from old delhi railway station) and eating options are huge..its a food paradise. Sarai Rohilla is close to Karol Bagh (if you have heard of it) and from both New/Old Delhi Railway Station it should take less than 45 min. suggest you keep 1 hour in hand. |

| Member | raj ghat I would definitely recommend finding the time to visit the Raj Ghat. It is a dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. The memorial (Samadi) of the "father of the nation" consists of a black marble slab, decorated with flowers in the middle of a beautiful garden and park. |
