New Delhi Rail station to Anand Vihar Bus terminus

Hi All,
I will be reaching New Delhi Railway station in the morning (10.30) by Rajdhani exp. and planning to take a bus for Nainital from the anand Vihar bus terminus. Never been to delhi before. Can anyone tell me how to go form New delhi railway station to anand Vihar bus terminus? What will be the fare of auto/taxi or bus…? As i am going with my family so is the place safe for women in the evening(nearly 9pm-10.30pm).I called ISBT & they told me that advance booking from Kolkata is not possible. I will reach Delhi on 20th March & i will start for Nainital same day. As I am going in off season so I think I will get the bus ticket ( A/C Deluxe) . I don’t have any other option Please let me know about your concern about the availability of bus ticket also..

What amount of luggage are you carrying? There is a metro link, you have to change line at Rajiv Chowk station. Taxi fare would be around Rs.200/-

you have 4 choices to go to anand vihar, metro, Bus, Auto
& taxi. anand vihar is around 11-12 kms from Station... auto will be best i guess... auto charges shud not exceed Rs 100-110...

There should be buses to nainital from kashmere gate ISBT which is much closer to new Delhi Railway Station.

I go through different post & i have seen that ISBT buses (for nainital) are available from A.V only.So i choose A.V. Will it be possible to give me the time table..

Yes, you will get bus to nainital from Anand vihar only. Since you have luggage with you, it would be difficult in an auto. Metro will be too crowded at that time especially as you will have to change at rajiv chowk and then again walk all the way to the bus starting point.

I think you should take a taxi, it would be a bit expensive than other modes but will provide the required comfort that is required at the start of the journey. I do not think there is any direct bus link from NDLS to Anand vihar, private mini busses, maybe.

Also, take the bus to haldwani that are very frequent and from there you will get shared cabs/Bus to Nainital.

as jitu bhai already made the picture clear, i also wont suggest Bus. if you wish to go by bus then first you will have to catch bus for ITO or laxmi nagar, then from there you will get plenty of buses for AV. fare pp will be Rs 15.

Yes, that can be done if the budget is tight. There are many busses from NDLS to ITO. However, you may have to walk a bit if you take the wrong bus so better take bus for either Laxmi nagar or mandi house. Of course, if you are ready to do all this running around, then better take metro. If the suitcase are not big then "adjust" in auto as it is said in Delhi .

you are right, in day time last bus is at 11.00 (DTC)
at night at 21.00, 22.00(AC) and 22.30 are timings (uttrakhand roadways)

I'm planning to catch a train from New Delhi railway station at 22:00 hours. And I would be arriving at Anand Vihar Terminus at 21:15 hours. Can I reach within 30 minutes or so by auto/metro?
Further the train arrives at Ghaziabad Junction at 20:50 hours. If there is a metro would that be good?
